Family living at its best!

Our clients wanted their home to reflect their passions. The home’s ultra-modern architecture has a fresh, clean look which integrates beautifully into this desirable, transitioning neighbourhood. Because the home is located on a corner lot, the design and build required special treatment to create enough privacy while allowing for maximum natural light. To minimize the home’s ecological footprint, there are solar panels on the garage roof and a rainwater harvesting system.

Amazing results were achieved in combining wood with this concrete and steel structure. Clerestory windows capture the light, while maintaining privacy. An interior stairway connects the home, and the overhead light shaft pulls the light in!

The kitchen feels ‘strategically-molded’ into the home’s architecture. The fridge and pantry are integrated into the cabinet wall. The island has a unique countertop detail – it’s three-quarters inch thick, cut at a 60-degree angle. The family loves this large island – it accommodates multiple workstations and it’s a great gathering place for family chats and large entertaining.

The mudroom allows for easy family living, while remaining totally hidden. The family room extends off the kitchen greatroom and features a wall that opens to reveal a large TV. Generous folding glass doors off the back of the home create an amazing transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Upstairs, the den is a perfect reading room – cozy, bright, and private! The master suite is located to the back for privacy. Large windows show off the outstanding view!
