Blue Steel
The warmth of being at home
Our clients loved their neighbourhood but needed to replace the outdated, tired 1940’s bungalow. The new home is two storeys, perfect for their lifestyle while maintaining a character look on their street. The rich blue colour palette is accented by the warmth of cedar posts and rust-toned fascia boards. Inside, the open concept floor plan feels bright and spacious. A skylight over the island brings natural light into the home. The kitchen is a favourite place for the whole family. He loves to cook and insisted on a 48-inch wide gas range. With lots of counterspace and an oversized island, there’s plenty of room for everyone to help.
Hi-gloss white upper cabinets reach to the ceiling and there are contrasting lower cabinets and island in a dark stained wood. Sleek grey quartz countertops complete the look. A gorgeous blue mosaic-patterned glass tile backsplash is combined with striking blue glass pendant lights over the island. A unique free-standing stair way, with contemporary open risers lead to the 3 bedrooms upstairs. This home is set up for casual family living. The family room is located at the back of the home. Large folding glass doors open onto the back deck, creating an exceptional outdoor living space.
